Researching The Awareness Levels of Employee on Occupational Health and Safety in Constructions Selected as Sample in Van

Occupational health and safety all over the world has an important place in terms of human life comfort. Especially in the construction sector, it is vital to raise the awareness of the workers on this issue and to give regular trainings on the subject. When the occupational health and safety culture and awareness cannot be created in the employees, it will be difficult to protect the physical and mental integrity of the employees and to achieve the desired work efficiency. Occupational health and safety statistics show that the largest share in the total occupational accidents that occurred unfortunately belongs to the construction sector. This situation shows the importance of taking stricter measures on occupational health and safety in the relevant sector and raising awareness of employees about occupational health and safety. In this study, it is aimed to determine the situation of occupational health and safety awareness by meeting with active workers in the construction sector and to contribute to improvement studies. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to the employees in the constructions selected as a sample in Van and the results were evaluated.
