Abstract

In general, it is possible to define obesity as unwanted excess fat storage in the body. A body fat ratio of 30% or more for women and 25% or more for men is associated with obesity. Obesity brings with it many health problems such as shortness of breath and heart failure. Obesity has not only physical but also psychological harm. It also negatively affects the person's quality and duration of life. In order to reduce possible occupational accidents according to the risk assessment in the occupational health and safety law no. 6331, existing risks must be correctly perceived and analyzed. In addition, according to the Labor Law No. 4857, there is an obligation to carry out risk assessment in workplaces. Within the scope of this study, a risk assessment study was carried out in the obesity surgery clinic using Fine Kinney and Matrix methods in an integrated manner. In this evaluation, the risk consequences of the causes of accidents were generally determined, taking into account near misses, types of injuries and experiences gained.
